I'm not interested in taking up monotonous roles: Sanjana Singh
The actress was approached for Vijay Antony’s Thimiru Pudichavan and Lawrence’s upcoming horror-comedy flick Kanchana 3.
Sanjana Singh, who is currently part of Dim Dip and Hippi, a Tamil and Telugu project respectively, says she had to say no to a few films of late as she felt they had nothing new to offer. The actress was approached for Vijay Antony’s Thimiru Pudichavan and Lawrence’s upcoming horror-comedy flick Kanchana 3.She says, “I was offered the role of a sex worker in the former, and a similar one in the latter. But I had to reject both the films because I’ve already played such roles in my career. Having done around 30 movies, I’m now looking at doing varied characters — roles that give me scope to perform. I’m not interested in taking up monotonous roles just for the sake of acting in films.”
Directed by Anand, Dim Dip has her playing the female lead opposite Power Star Srinivasan, while Hippi, which has TN Krishna at the helm, has her playing lead actor Kartikeya’s sister.
