The sequal of 2008 hit Dostana which featured Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan is making quite a buzz. The talks are on since Since then, speculations of its sequel has been doing the rounds. In fact, tehre were reports that Alia Bhatt has been roped in to play the lead. Reports also stated that the actress who made her debut with KJo's Student of The Year 2, is also keen about the idea. But now, the filmmaker Karan Johar refuted the rumours of Alia Bhatt playing the lead in the film.

Karan Johar took to Twitter and rubbished the reporst of Highway actrss playing the lead role in the film. he wrote, "For the record.....NO ONE has been officially approached for DOSTANA 2!!!! Some thoughts and ideas are underway but nothing official has moved." Now, fans cannot wait for Karan to make the official announcement soon about his lead trio. Meanwhile, fans are also wondering as to which actors will come on-board for the sequel.

Talking about Alia Bhatt, she is playing the leading lady in the upcoming film Gully boy opposite to Ranveer Singh. Joya Akhtar directorial is slated to release on 14 February 2019.

Two-time National Award winner Manoj Bajpayee has added another feather to his cap. The critically acclaimed actor was conferred with India's fourth-highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri, on Friday.

In a conversation with a leading publication, Manoj said that his family was over the moon and had already begun celebrating the honour. "My family and my parents are celebrating this special moment with the villagers, visiting temples and distributing laddoos and for my friends, I will organise a party soon," he said.

Manoj revealed that he is yet to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind. "I have a lot of respect for PM Narendra Modi as he works hard day and night and doesn't sleep more than 4 hours. So I am thinking of gifting him chewing gum as he will chew that and will take rest and take care of his health," he said.

This year, 113 people will receive the Padma awards. Apart from Manoj, the late Kader Khan, Prabhudheva and Shankar Mahadevan are also being honoured with the Padma Shri.

Earlier in a statement given to IANS, Manoj said that he was happy that no abuses were directed at him when his name was announced for the Padma Shri. "There have been quite a few instances in the recent past when people have criticised the government's choice on social media when it comes to conferring Padma awards to a particular individual," he said.

"I have observed that till now, no one has abused me on social media and no controversy has been created when my name was announced. So, I think it is a good thing that when you get an honour nobody has raised objections against it," he added.

On the work front, Manoj will be seen next in Abhishek Chaubey's Sonchiriya. The film, which is set in Chambal in 1975, also features Sushant Singh Rajput, Ranvir Shorey, Ashutosh Rana and Bhumi Pednekar in key roles. It is scheduled to open in theatres on February 8.

filmywap'Manikarnika-The Queen Of Jhansi' is riding high on success at the box office. The film has won many hearts and the leading lady Kangana Ranaut is getting praised for handwork and her onscreen presence. However, in the midst of all the applauds and praises, Kangana's battle of being slammed for taking the director's credit for 'Manikarnika' is still on.

Kangana's sister Rangoli has also challenged the director to prove that he has shot the major chunk of the film as claimed. While, on the other hand Pooja Bhatt and Bejoy Nambiar have slammed Kangana for how she dealt with the film when director Krish couldn’t shoot a large part of the film.

They both have came out in support of Krish. They took to their twitter handle and shared a post. Pooja wrote, "This is so wrong... on every level... this is not the industry I was born to and not the industry I wish to inherit. Eventually it is credit we work for... money comes & money goes... the first rule of filmmaking is to acknowledge people’s contribution." On which Apurva Asrani, who had accused Kangana of stealing credit for 'Simran', reiterated his claims and stressed that he went through the same kind of struggle faced by Krish during Manikarnika. He replied, "Thankyou for finally acknowledging this. I had yearned for your support when she did this to me 2 years ago too. But still, I'm happy to see this condemnation from you."

He further wrote, "Her game is brutal. She first plays the victim & wins your trust. You give your all, sacrifice all other work, because she seems lovely. Then when you're ready with a film you nurtured/created, she has you thrown out. Then she uses the press & trolls to character assasinate you." In return, Pooja replied to the writer saying, "Am sorry if it seemed like I was being reticent with regards to my support then. The details of that situation,even though spelt out by all seemed murky to me which is why I didn’t jump in. Though I always maintained that Hansal’s silence felt odd & rather unjust."

Moreover, Director Bejoy Nambiar also tweeted and wrote, “This is just heartbreaking to watch ! No one should have to go through something like this. After #Simran & @Apurvasrani’s episode this is the 2nd time someone is calling her out. EARN your credit & GIVE credit where it’s due #KanganaRanaut.”

Manikarnika that released on 25th of January have racked in above Rs.50 crore till date.

Back in 2000, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal made us laugh our hearts out in the rib-tickling comedy, Hera Pheri, which was then directed by Priyadarshan. In 2006, under Neeraj Vora's directorial, Hera Pheri 2 released but could not match up to the charm of the original classic. Last year, it was confirmed that Hera Pheri 3 is very much in the pipeline, but several glitches had pushed the film's production. Now, Mumbai Mirror has confirmed that the third installment of the comedy franchise is finally ready and will go on floors by this year-end.

The best part is that the original cast will be reprising their respective roles once again. A source informed MM, “At present, the film is in the scripting stage. Indra Kumar has been working with his team of writers on the story since May last year and has already locked the first half, while the second half requires some more work. He will jump into it after the release of his upcoming directorial Total Dhamaal."

The source added, "Delays happened due to issues in the script. Hera Pheri is an iconic franchise and the team is no hurry to take it on floors. Though everyone is excites, no one wants to compromise on the script." Back in March 2018, Akshay and Suniel met for a candid conversation and now it seems it was for Hera Pheri 3, after all. Hera Pheri 3 is slated to release in 2020 and judging by the classic ensemble, we can expect another laughter riot.

This is exactly what was on the mind of film-maker Imtiaz Ali when he approached Sara Ali Khan and Saif Ali Khan for his project which is a sequel of his own movie Love Aaj Kal and is titled Love Aaj Kal 2. The news surely raised the hopes in the minds of the audiences to see the father-daughter duo on screen together.

However, now, we have learnt that this might not be the case. Earlier, as per the report by an entertainment portal, Saif Ali Khan had rubbished the rumours of him being a part of the film. However, now, according to Bollywood Life, Saif and Sara were planning to do the film together. But, amidst all this, Sara chose to part ways from the project. According to Bollywood Life’s sources, Sara chose to quit the project due to script issues. This means that we might not get to see the father-daughter duo on screen.

Southern and Bollywood actress Hansika Motwani recently hit the headlines after her private photos from the phone and twitter were leaked online. As earlier we reported, Hansika's twitter and the phone was hacked and some photos of her wearing bikini were leaked on the social media. The actress in support of her team managed to pull down some photos from the social media. In fact, the actress also took to social media and requested everyone to stop messaging to any random messages as her phone and twitter account has been hacked.

In an interview to Times Of India, Hansika Motwani recently opened up about the leaked photos that went viral on the social media. The actress had a befitting reply to her haters who accused her of doing this for attention and publicity. She said, "I don’t need to seek attention from anybody. Right through my career, I’ve kept a low profile and that reflects in how I conduct myself on social media as well. That’s just who I am as a person. So if someone sitting in the corner of their room wants to say that I’m doing this for attention, I don’t think that such people even deserve a response. I just feel sorry for them."

Reacting on her leaked photos, Hansika said, "I noticed that something was wrong with my phone ever since went to the United States a few weeks ago. But it came as a huge shock to me when I realised that my private information and pictures have been leaked into the public domain. These pictures were taken four years ago and some of them have been smartly morphed by the hackers. I soon figured that my Twitter account has also been hacked and I then alerted my technical team to deal with it."

On the work front, Hansika Motwani, who was last seen in Vikram Prabhu starrer Thuppaki Munai and NTR biopic, will be seen in her much talked about 50th film titled Maha. The film is being directed by debutant U.R.Jameel and produced by Mathi Azhagan of etcetera entertainment. The crime thriller has music composed by Ghibran. Vicky Kaushal who is currently ruling B-town thanks to 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' is on cloud nine at the moment. The actor has become a really popular name thanks to the Aditya Dhar directorial. Not only him, but the debutante director has also been receiving rave praise. Now, Vicky revealed a very interesting fact about how the film was made in the first place by sheer chance.

In an interview, the actor revealed that back in 2016, Aditya was planning to make a very different movie called 'Raat Baaki' with Katrina Kaif and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. However, when the Uri attack happened, the actor was boycotted and the film was eventually shelved. Dejected, the filmmaker went back to Delhi and began reading about the incident that stopped his directorial debut.

Soon his curiosity turned into burning passion as he read more and more about the attacks, the subsequent surgical strike and met army officials to get more inside information. Finally after six months of extensive research, the script of 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' was made and the rest, as they say, is history. Vicky commented on how strange it was that the very incident which gave Aditya a major career setback became the reason his film is a blockbuster today.

In the meantime, the actor has been enjoying praise from one and all. Not only did he get a special surprise from flight attendants in an aircraft, but the film also made it on an Amul cartoon, which is known for making sketches on topical events.

With 'Narendra' Bollywood music composer Ram Sampath is also debuting in Tollywood.

Bollywood's most loved couple - Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor - was recently spotted together at Umang 2019. The duo walked in holding hands and looked every bit in love.

While the diva is busy shooting for Ayan Mukerji's science fiction thriller – Brahmastra – along with beau Ranbir Kapoor, her kitty seems to be full with many lucrative projects. At present, Ms Bhatt has two mega projects lined up for shoot and grand release.

One of them is Kalank, produced by Dharma productions which has an impressive star cast comprising of Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kiara Advani. And the other one is Takht – which would mark Karan Johar's directorial comeback will have stalwarts like Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

Apart from these two grand projects, Alia has also been approached to play the female lead in Dostana 2. Yes, you read it right. After years and years of waiting, we might get to see Dostana 2 and what would make it all the more interesting is the fact that the sensational Alia Bhatt might be a part of the film too.

However, the most unexpected and exciting project might be Alia Bhatt's collaboration with 'Baahubali' maker SS Rajamouli. As per a Mumbai Mirror report, Rajamouli's team has approached Alia Bhatt to be a part of their next – RRR – featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR. And while Alia has indeed loved the script, her team is trying to put together dates for her to shoot the film.

Well, it would be interesting to see the two biggest names of the industry come together and entertain us.
